Program

All students begin with a shared foundation in Fashion Design, developing the creative, technical, cultural, and methodological skills needed to understand the contemporary fashion system.

As they progress through the programme in Fashion Design bachelor, students will continue to deepen their Fashion Design.

The three-year Fashion Design programme develops responsible designers who can combine creative vision, cultural awareness, technical expertise, sustainability and an understanding of the contemporary fashion system. Students progress from foundational design and construction skills to advanced collection development, digital experimentation and the creation of an individual professional identity.

During the first year, students establish the creative, cultural and technical foundations of fashion design. They study design methodology, modelling and pattern development, garment construction, fashion history, contemporary art, textiles and sustainable materials, illustration, photography and visual communication.

Through practical projects and workshops, students learn how to develop research, translate ideas into design concepts and transform two-dimensional proposals into three-dimensional products. Cultural and theoretical subjects help them understand fashion as part of a broader social, artistic and historical context.

In the second year, students apply these foundations to more complex design and collection projects. They deepen their knowledge of garment construction, modelling, product development, textiles and specialist fashion categories while further exploring sustainable design, circular processes and responsible material choices.

Digital pattern making, CLO3D, technical visualisation and AI-supported processes introduce students to evolving professional workflows. Design-management and communication activities also help them understand how creative decisions connect with product feasibility, brand identity and the contemporary fashion market.

The third year focuses on creative autonomy, advanced collection development and preparation for professional practice. Students define a personal design language through independent research, experimentation and increasingly self-directed projects.

They develop the visual and strategic presentation of their work through art direction, styling, communication and portfolio development, while strengthening their understanding of design management and the professional fashion system. The final project and thesis bring together research, concept development, technical execution and communication in a coherent body of work that expresses each student’s individual identity.

By the end of the programme, graduates are prepared to enter an international and rapidly evolving fashion industry with the ability to develop original concepts, construct and communicate collections, use both traditional and digital design processes, and respond critically to cultural, technological, environmental and sustainability changes.
