Shape in Motion

Shape in Motion is a live fashion performance by Raffles Milano Fashion Design students, created with the textile brand Brunello 1927 for Milan Design Week. In an open studio, students draped Brunello fabrics directly on the mannequin with the moulage technique, without paper patterns, working in real time in front of visitors.

Free forms, spontaneous drapes and bold colours made each garment one of a kind. Mistakes became part of the process, and the fabric guided the shape as much as the designer did.

A second showing of the garments was planned for Pride Month in June, in the school’s gallery spaces.

In collaboration with Brunello 1927. Photography and art direction: Arianna Bonucci. Shoes: Le Silla.
