We are proud to announce that Simone Di Vita, a Fashion Design student at Raffles Milano, has won the Clothing category of the eleventh edition of Intreccincantiere , the competition promoted by Manifattura di Domodossola in collaboration with Lineapelle and Banco BPM, dedicated to creativity and innovation in weaving design.

Simone’s design draws inspiration from the Sicilian tradition of wicker baskets, reworked with a sartorial twist. The woven motif—a symbol of local craftsmanship—is brought to life through the precisely applied trimmings along the garment’s edges. The structure of the dress, characterized by loose volumes and a corset that defines the silhouette, strikes a balance between rigor and theatricality, creating a dramatic and elegant look that celebrates Mediterranean culture with a contemporary twist.

The jury of industry experts, including stylists, journalists, and representatives of major brands, selected the most original and innovative projects from over 100 submissions from leading international fashion and design academies.

The official award ceremony will be held on October 23, 2025 in the prestigious setting of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan .
