The tailoring course introduces the basics of hand tailoring with the making on canvas samples of machine and hand stitching, different types of trims, hems, collars, buttoning, cuffs, eyelets.
Through the study of the fundamentals of pattern making, tailoring techniques and fabric characteristics, it will be possible to make a polo-type blouse and a baggy shirt on your own measurements.
The laboratory course will consist of: exercises in using the sewing machine with, hand sewing, machine sewing and making on canvas samples, fundamentals of pattern making, factors influencing fabric choice, working with textile fibers, Finishing edges, hems, collars, making custom-made blouses, buttoning, eyelet cuffs, sewing buttons, metal minutiae, appliqués and finally
custom shirt making.
