The Raffles Shelf is a project developed by first-year Product Design students here at Raffles Milano in collaboration with Siroplastin.
Curated by professor Luigi Baroli, the project translates academic research into a real-world design outcome. The Raffles Shelf explores the concept of the “architecture of the object,” where a functional element like a shelf becomes a tool to organize and define space.
Developed by students Iuliana Aga, Kolitha Anuruddha Malalaage Peres, Alessandro Giuliani, Raphaelle Otayek Chreim, Farkhunda Tokhirova, Gabriel Wozniak, and Matteo Zappalà, the project reflects a balance between conceptual thinking and practical design.
Through this collaboration, the Raffles Shelf stands as a clear example of how early-stage design education can engage directly with industry, turning ideas into tangible products.
