During Milan Design Week, we collaborated with Caimi Brevetti to present the Raffles Stool at Salone del Mobile. This partnership provided a valuable platform to showcase a project that bridges education and industry within one of the most influential design events globally.
The Raffles Stool is a lightweight, functional, and versatile seating solution designed with adaptability and everyday use in mind. Thanks to its multi-purpose nature, it can be used in a variety of contexts—not only as a stool, but also as an informal side table or flexible support element in educational, public, and professional environments. Its clean, contemporary aesthetic reflects a balance between practicality and refined design.
What makes the project particularly meaningful is its origin: the stool was developed last year by our first-year Product Design students in collaboration with Siroplastin, under the guidance of their professor Luigi Baroli. This hands-on collaboration allowed students to engage directly with real production processes, materials, and industry constraints, transforming an academic exercise into a tangible product.
