Lime

During last year’s 72 hours, Raffles Milano students were partnering with Lime – a global leader in shared electric mobility to develop Designing Urban Sustainability—a limited-edition collection of Lime vehicles reimagined for Milan Design Week 2025 The challenge pushed participants to explore how design can contribute to more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative cities, aligning with Lime’s core values: Sustainability, Innovation, Teamwork The result was a series of forward-thinking concepts that not only reimagined the aesthetics of shared vehicles but also addressed broader questions of usability, environmental impact, and urban integration. This initiative highlights Raffles Milano’s commitment to bridging academia and industry. By collaborating directly with leading companies like Lime, students gain hands-on experience tackling real challenges—preparing them to become the next generation of designers shaping our cities. Projects like the 72 Hours Challenge demonstrate how design education can drive meaningful innovation, especially in rapidly evolving sectors such as micromobility and urban sustainability.
