The course provides basic knowledge of the production techniques of various types of glass, lighting sources, production techniques of structural parts, for the conception and design of a decorative luminaire. It will provide the basis for a design and project management methodology in every part.
Danilo de Rossi - He has been practising as an architect and designer in Venice since the 1980s, and the lagoon contiguity developed an ever-increasing affinity with the artistic production of glass and decorative lighting. He soon obtained a master's degree in lighting design at the Milan Polytechnic, which propelled him into the role of interpreter of contemporary lighting design, in glass, characterising the Creative Direction for LEUCOS 1996/2015 and De Majo Murano since 1994. From 2016 to 2023 he was Art Director for ITALAMP. For the same companies he designs lamp collections that earn him significant international awards such as Good Design Award - Chicago, Best Booth Design - Las Vegas, Wallpaper Design - UK, IDA Award - Los Angeles and LIT Lighting Design Award - Switzerland.
